about me

You can call me Ray! I'm in my 20s, I go by she/her and I'm aroace. I love my cat and cats in general, send me pictures of your cats.

I'm mostly multifandom, with anime in general being a constant along with cartoons and TV shows, and games, that switch more frequently. I don't always play the games myself, but you can be sure playthroughs have been treating me right for the past few years.

My UN isn't actually based on the Greek Hydra, but on a pun using my name and the flower hydrangea. I thought of it at 2am in a bus back from Italy, though, so it seemed a lot smarter then.

warnings

"In art we can be fucking nuts" – Lin-Manuel Miranda

I'm problematic, let's get that out of the way first. Age gap, gore, underage, you know the drill. I keep it to my side but these are my tastes, along with fluff and wholesome content which are what I'll have on main. If you have something to say about it, no you don't - don't bother. I care very little about what people like in fiction. Ships, tropes, I believe people can like what they want as long as no intentional harm is done to real people. Harassing people over their fictional tastes or preferred tropes is unacceptable.I am unapologetic about my own tastes. I can draw the line between fictional interests and offensive opinions and behavior in real life. My RTs on main can include violent content which will contain blood, sexual jokes and other kinds of NSFW. They won't be all I post, but they will happen. Be careful at work. I don't believe in purity culture. Dark themes, redemption arcs, morally gray and "problematic" tropes and characters are useful to a narrative and don't reflect real life morals. It's fine to be squicked by something, for it to be a trigger or to just plain dislike it - I have my own squicks as well as strong dislikes, as everyone does. What is not fine is starting to tell people what content they can and can't produce or enjoy instead of blacklisting said upsetting content, blocking the creator if needed and moving on. I don't tolerate antis.
I tag my own content appropriately so it can be blacklisted and filtered, and keep my "problematic" stuff to my side twitter, @aconyte - my responsibility stops there. Once the warnings and opt-outs are in place, should you choose to ignore them, it isn't my problem. If you dislike this, or anything listed above, you are under no obligation to follow me and encouraged to block me if you desire. If my content and opinions aren't for you, they aren't for you. I understand that.

What matters most is that you see content you want to see, so find people that fit your interests more and move on!

@aconyte side note : I'm likely to turn down your follow request there if i don't know you. It isn't an art twitter, it's my way to keep gen and problematic stuff separate and is mostly RTs and rants. You aren't missing out on anything.
